About Samuel Thier
Samuel Thier is the president of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, a Congressionally-chartered private sector organization that analyzes and recommends health services and health sciences policy. He has served as chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at Yale University’s School of Medicine, president of the American Federation of Clinical Research, and chairman of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
