About Arthur Schlesinger, Jr.

Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., is a distinguished historian and writer whose firsthand experience with world politics as a special assistant to President John F. Kennedy has given him a rich perspective on the subject of world power. He currently holds the position of Albert Schweitzer Professor of Humanities at The City University of New York. In 1946, he received the Pulitzer Prize in history for his book The Age of Jackson and in 1966 for the biography A Thousand Days, which covers the presidency of John F. Kennedy.
