About Chris Hedges
Chris Hedges has been a foreign correspondent for fifteen years, working with such organizations as The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, and National Public Radio. He was a member of The New York Times team that won a Pulitzer Prize in 2002 for their coverage of global terrorism, and he received Amnesty International’s Global Award for Human Rights Journalism. He is the author of the book War Is A Force That Gives Us Meaning, which was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. He has covered conflicts in the world’s most volatile locations, including the Middle East, the Balkans, Central America, and Africa. He uses his first-hand knowledge of the horrors of war to reflect on the nature and impact of human violence.
