About Gregory Boyle
Gregory Boyle, S.J., is the founder and executive director of Homeboy Industries, a nationally recognized center providing job training, placement, counseling, and support services for at-risk and gang-involved youth in Los Angeles. His practical efforts to counteract the violence and hopelessness confronting young people in his community have transformed lives and garnered national attention. He holds an M.A. in English from Loyola Marymount University, a Master of Divinity from the Weston School of Theology, and an S.T.M. from the Jesuit School of Theology. He has worked with Christian Base Communities in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and served as chaplain at the Islas Marias Penal Colony in Mexico and at Folsom Prison.
