About Jeffrey Sachs
Jeffrey Sachs is the director of The Earth Institute and a Professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University. Considered one of the leading economists in the world today, he advocates combining economic development with environmental sustainability and the mitigation of human-induced climate change. He received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from Harvard University where he served on its faculty for nearly twenty years. His latest book, The Price of Civilization, is a blueprint for America’s economic recovery.
