About Peter Wallensteen
Peter Wallensteen is the Dag Hammarskjold Professor of Peace and Conflict Resolution Research at Uppsala University. He is widely recognized as an expert on the origins of war, conflict theory and resolution, and global systems and governance. He has been a visiting professor in the Department of Political Science at Yale University, the University of Michigan, University of Tubingen, and the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, as well as a visiting researcher at the Institute for Political Studies at Stanford University and Yale University. He is the author of numerous books, including Understanding Conflict Resolution: War, Peace, and the Global System and The Origins of War, Conflict Theory, and Conflict Research.
