About Philip Landrigan
Philip Landrigan is director of the Center for Children’s Health and the Environment at Mount Sinai School of Medicine where the links between childhood illnesses and exposure to toxic pollutants are studied. A graduate of Harvard Medical School, he served on the New York Mayor’s Advisory Committee to Prevent Childhood Lead Paint Poisoning and is currently a member of the President’s Advisory Committee on Gulf War Veterans’ Illnesses. He is a Senior Advisor to the Environmental Protection Agency and co-author of Raising Children Toxic Free, a guide to protecting children from lead, radon, pesticides, and other environmental toxins.
