About Rodion Shchedrin

Rodion Shchedrin is a renowned Russian composer and president of the Soviet Composers Union. He has been described as a major figure in contemporary Russian composition and one of the principal successors of Prokofiev and Shostakovich. He lives in Moscow and will be participating in a three-day festival of his music with the Plymouth Music Series of Minnesota.
