Nancy Aossey is president of the International Medical Corps, one of the largest humanitarian organizations offering medical aid to devastated regions around the world. With more than 4,000 staff and volunteers, IMC provides $130 million annually for relief and recovery programs. In the last two decades, IMC has responded to nearly every global emergency, including the famine in Somalia, ethnic-cleansing in Bosnia, the Rwandan genocide, the conflicts in Darfur and Uganda, the tsunami in southeast Asia, the Pakistani earthquake, and the cyclone in Myanmar.
