About John Roach
John Roach is the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. He attended the St. Paul Seminary in St. Paul, MN, and was ordained in 1946. He was an instructor and headmaster at St. Thomas Academy and the rector, pastor, and vicar at various parishes in the diocese. He was appointed archbishop in 1975, and he served as the president of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops from 1983 to 1985. He is widely known for his leadership role in interfaith relations, peacemaking, and the social mission of the church.
