About Johan von Schreeb
Johan von Schreeb is a surgeon, health emergency analyst, and noted humanitarian. For over twenty years, he has provided medical assistance and disaster relief in Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Sudan-Darfur, Pakistan, and Haiti. He worked with Doctors Without Borders and the World Health Organization, and he is the founder of Sweden’s chapter of Doctors Without Borders. He works at one of Europe’s largest medical universities, the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, where he leads a team of researchers bringing medical relief to disaster areas, particularly in developing countries.
