About Frederick Buechner
Frederick Buechner is a writer, theologian, and ordained Presbyterian minister. He is the author of more than thirty books ranging from fiction to autobiography to theological meditations. His writings include Godric, The Book of Bebb, Brendan, The Faces of Jesus: A Life Story, and The Sacred Journey: A Memoir of Early Days. A graduate of Princeton University with a degree in English, he received a Bachelor of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. He served for nine years as school minister of Phillips Exeter Academy where he established its first department of religion. In 1967, he moved with his family to a farmhouse in Vermont to dedicate himself full-time to writing.
