About Clay Jenkinson
Clay Jenkinson presents a characterization of the life and ideas of Thomas Jefferson. His portrayal was created in 1984 for the Chautauqua Institution and has subsequently been presented at legislatures, judicial conferences, and colleges and universities in over 30 states. In 1989, Jenkinson was awarded the National Endowment for the Humanities’ Charles Frankel Prize for exemplary work in the public humanities.
