Chris Hedges has been a foreign correspondent for fifteen years, working with such organizations as The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, and National Public Radio. He was a member of The New York Times team that won a Pulitzer Prize in 2002 for their coverage of global terrorism, and he received Amnesty International’s Global Award for Human Rights Journalism. He is the author of the book War Is A Force That Gives Us Meaning, which was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. He has covered conflicts in the world’s most volatile locations, including the Middle East, the Balkans, Central America, and Africa.
