About Bob Keeshan
Bob Keeshan is a recipient of six Emmy Awards and three Gabriel Awards for his TV series Captain Kangaroo. He received the Broadcaster of the Year Award in 1979, Television Father of the Year in 1980, and the Advancement of Learning Through Broadcasting Award from the National Education Association. For his lifelong dedication to communication with children, he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for Services to Children by the National PTA.
