About Norm Ornstein
Norm Ornstein is a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research. He is an election analyst for CBS News and writes a weekly column for Roll Call, the Capitol Hill newspaper. He serves as co-director of the Transition to Governing Project, which is committed to creating a better climate for governing in the era of the permanent campaign. The author of numerous books on politics and public policy, he earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from the University of Michigan. He was born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and received his B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota.
