Peace in the Middle East: A Palestinian Perspective
Hanan Ashrawi is the founder and secretary-general of Miftah —The Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue — which is committed to principles of democracy and human rights and to efforts to end Israeli occupation on humanitarian, rather than historical or ideological, grounds. She served as the Minister of Higher Education for the Palestinian Authority and as the Official Spokesperson for the Palestinian Authority delegation to the US-Israel-Palestinian Peace Talks. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia.
