E.J. Dionne is a columnist for the Washington Post, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, and a professor at Georgetown University. He serves as a political commentator for NPR, MSNBC, and NBC’s Meet the Press. He is the author or editor of numerous books, including the bestseller Why Americans Hate Politics and his latest book, Our Divided Political Heart, which explores America’s tradition of balancing the love of individualism with concern for community.
